Dear Parents, Relatives, and Friends:

We have had quite a winter in WV and we are ready for Spring! We are already in the tenth week of our Winter quarter. Continuing students are doing class sign ups with me this week. Each student comes in individually to meet with me to sign up for classes for the next quarter.

The Teaching students are hosting a group from Washington State Technical College today. Our students will give the group a tour, demonstrate grooming and tacking techniques, and do a presentation on careers in the Equine Industry.

We are having our annual Visitor’s Day again this year. Visitor’s Day will be May 15th. Demonstrations performed by staff and students will include: Dressage, Western, and Jumping performances; Training and Teaching exhibitions; Massage Therapy and Horse Health presentations; Farrier demonstrations and displays. We will also have a complete display of all the required equipment for our Riding Master programs. Meredith Manor students take part in the Visitor’s Day by participating in demonstrations, acting as guides, and answering questions.

We will have our quarterly Awards Assembly and Graduation on Thursday, March 4th in the School cafeteria beginning at 3:30 PM. Awards are presented for academics, skills, achievements, attendance, and work ethics. Showmasters will be held on Friday, March 5th in Randolph Arena beginning at 9:00 AM. All students participate in the Showmasters horse show. Virginia Preston, from Lexington, KY will be the judge for the show.

Registration for our new incoming students for the Spring quarter is March 7th. New students will participate in Orientation March 8th – 10th. Continuing students will begin their Spring quarter on March 8th.

Until next time!

Sincerely,
